Allow me to elaborate. The Idea is, In the Let's Play, to be presentable, you need three things:
- An Adult Voice. I Have this.
- A Good Cause: Basically anything besides Fame.
- Outstanding Video Quality. In Other Words; The Best Screen Capture, No watermark, No lag. No Moving Camera, No Camcorder.
If one of them is missing, the Let's play is a lost cause to a lot of people. So here's the Camcorder Part. If you do one, Popularity and Criticism recieved will drop to an all time low, despite how good you can talk, a lot of people will stereotype your video by either a disregard or no-no nod. and refuse to watch it.
It Doesn't matter, even if the screen is crystal Clear to see.
Now, most of the time, you should NOT record with a Camcorder, in fact, even I would say to never record a video with a camcorder if Screen Capture is available. So exceptions are only good in these forms:
- A one-off video of you Playing a game an unusual way that can only be described by taking a camera away from the Screen.
- Showing the Emotions of many people playing LAM Style, or recording multiple Screens at once
- You are Playing a Nintendo Dual Screen (NDS, NDS Lite, NDSi, 3DS) System
When You Complete a video for a let's play, before you upload it, many of us ask ourselves a simple Question: "Would I Watch this if I was in another person's Shoes?". My answer was yes, I would, because I imagine that someone somewhere isn't a little Mr. Prissy and can accept a drop in quality from one department, as long as it's under control (Camera's not moving, Voice is still Clear, etc). Apparently not, but that doesn't change my answer.
I Can see my Screen. You can see what I'm doing. Even if the screen whites out from brightness for a second, you wouldn't have missed much, as long as it doesn't stay that bright for longer than 7 seconds. So I'm continuing my let's play until I find (Or someone else finds) a person that can appreciate such videos, and sit and enjoy them.
And that's that.
